Gallery Exhibit: True Self Project

An exhibition of artwork in ceramics, quilts, sculptures, jewelry and more by members of the True Self Project, an Albuquerque community-based group. Have you ever wondered who your True Self is? The true self that is relaxed, open and joyful? Members of the True Self Project share art that explores their true selves, as well as their their false selves and their pain. The artists explore these concepts as they relate to inter-generational trauma. The True Self Project is guided by Dr. Marythelma Brainard-Ransom, Albuquerque psychologist, and retired educator and therapist. Artwork produced by the True Self Project was exhibited at the University of New Mexico Medical School Domenici Center and the City of Albuquerque Special Collections Library.
