Our Library
Nahalat Shalom's Library was established in 2008 on behalf of Myra Carp when the congregation found itself the grateful recipient of her extensive, personal library and beautiful shelving. Thanks to the generous donation of Rabbi Chava Carp in loving memory of her mother, we were able to cultivate a flourishing library that continues to grow through unselfish donations made over the years.
Our collection of over 2,000 books includes fiction on Jewish themes, topics on Jewish history, customs and holidays, novels by a variety of location, national, and international authors, children’s books, a Holocaust survivor’s personal library, and more. In addition, we have compiled a library database for users to search the collection of books that we have. All congregation members belong to the library!
We are currently accepting book donations. Please contact our office by calling (505) 343-8227 or sending an email to office@nahalatshalom.com to make a donation or plan a library visit.
