July 16, 2025 will mark 80 years since the start of the nuclear weapons era, with the detonation about 200 miles south of Albuquerque at the Trinity Test Site, an event which is still affecting many New Mexicans.  Now the whole world is closer than ever to a nuclear war, accidents, or other disaster being triggered.  On July 12, Nahalat Shalom will host a kickoff event for Back from the Brink NM, to bring action and awareness to our current dangers and how we can prevent nuclear war and abolish nuclear weapons.  Be there Saturday, July 12, beginning at 6:30 pm in Nahalat Shalom’s sanctuary,, to learn what’s happening now and what we can do about it (doors open at 6).
