A joyous celebration dancing the seven Hakafot with the Torah.  Music provided by the Nahalat Shalom Community Klezmer Band and dances led by the Rikud Dance Troupe.   Simchat Torah Service with Torah reading and dancing will start at 7:00 PM.   Dinner is provided and will start at 6:00 PM.   All welcome.

6:00 pm Congregation Vegetarian Potluck Dinner in the Sukkah followed by a Cheder Led Congregational Service for Sukkot

All potlucks at Nahalat Shalom are Vegetarian.

Ne’ila followed by a joyous and extremely delicious Break Fast- We will open our hearts even wider as we step through the gates of Love and Justice, now purified and ready to face any challenge, ready to receive our lives as blessing

We continue the work of Yom Kippur with Yizkor, a service of remembering. We will open to the blessing and receive the legacies of our loved ones who have died. Then during Mincha, we will offer up the gifts of our prayer.

We open to the holy work of transformation, through deep reflection, exuberant celebration, Torah wisdom, and prophetic inspiration. The work will guide us to each become the High Priest who will enter the Holy of Holies and emerge newly cleansed, reborn for a new life.

Our broken hearts begin to let the light in as we break the spell of old patterns, learn from our mistakes and realign with our soul’s purpose.

Cycles of the flow of life are an integral part of the Jewish Year. Come join us as we meditate, contemplate, and reflect on relational time for the past year and work on templates of time for the year to come.  If desired bring a journal, creative materials and shofar.

Rosh Hashanah Day services followed by potluck- Through liturgy, chant, deep personal prayer, expressive dance, Torah, prophesy, and the sound of the shofar, we open to the blessing of this New Year.

Bring a flashlight and plan to arrive at 6:00am to begin the climb up the volcano so we can begin our service at 6:30am.  Shofars and drums are welcome.

Rosh Hashanah Eve service followed by apples and honey in the courtyard. We establish our intentions for the journey of Celebration and reflection, stepping over the threshold of pure possibility.
