Nahalat Shalom’s Annual FUNky Hanukkah Fiesta THIS SUNDAY, December 15th from 1:00 - 4:00 PM

Enjoy lively entertainment, amazing bargains, great food — and support Nahalat Shalom while having fun doing so!

ENTERTAINMENT— DANCE AND ENJOY Klezmer Music by The Nahalat Shalom Community Klezmer Band and dancing led by Rikud Dancers. Performance and symbolic lighting of the menorah by our Religious (Simcha) School Students. A Hanukkah Story by Maggidah Batya Podos.

FOOD — Latke lunch with Greek salad, dolmathes, humus, pita + sufganiyot (jelly donuts). Come early to eat - food while supplies last!!

SHOP — Silent Auction, Local Crafts - featuring beautiful gift items, Judaica and Jewelry shop, Clothing Boutique (all clothes are brand new and only $5), and a “FREE or pay-what-you-want table.” And YES, we have Hanukkah candles! Silent Auction closes at 3:00 PM.

ARTISTS AND OTHER VENDORS 1. Melanie LaBorwit Books and Chackes; 2. Julianna Kirwin Printmaking - Julianna is a printmaker whose work, inspired by her Polish roots, includes cut paper and folk images. Hershel Weiss Woodworks will be selling handcrafted menorahs and mezuzahs - all are made from trees on the Nahalat Shalom property hershelweiss.com

SING ALONG —Join Dan Matthews and Nancy Koenigsberg at 3:15 PM for this fun musical event. Sing songs of peace, justice and Hanukkah. Song sheets will be provided.

JEWISH BOOK GIVEAWAY— A free book to each attendee (while supplies last).

COST — Suggested donation of  $3 admission for adults; no charge for children. Food is not included with festival admission.

SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS — It's not too late!  Please contact the office or Ilene Dunn if you would like donations picked up from your house.  Or bring them to Nahalat Shalom during business hours.

FUN STUFF — space clearing?  Do you have fun or useful items for our FREE or Pay-What-You-Want table?  You may bring items with you to the festival.

Hanuka, Khanikeh! Klezmer y mas!

Join The Rebbe’s Orkestra for a musical evening rich in culture and diversity which will showcase Hanuka songs & other songs in Yiddish, Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) & Hebrew, as well as klezmer dance tunes and instrumental Jewish music from around the world performed on a variety of instruments. There's plenty of room for dancing and we will have a symbolic lighting of the Menorah/ Chanukiah. Admission is a $10 minimum requested donation at the door. Masks are required at Nahalat Shalom. Listen to KUNM Women’s Focus today and hear an interview with Nahalat Shalom Religious School Director, Maggid Batya Podos. The program starts at noon. Interview with Batya will be at 1:00 PM and then will be followed by some great Chanukah songs as well as songs that are fun interpretations of the original tunes.
